GLOBAL WARMING - A THREAT TO LIVES ON THE EARTH

Global warming refers to the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation.

The artic sea ice melts, and it brings a threat to the lives of the earth. satellite measurements recorded the previous record, 5.32 million square kilometers (2.05 million square miles), on September 20-21, 2005. But till August 16 this year the extent was 5.26 million square kilometers (2.02 million square miles).

The average global temperature of 2005 is almost equal taht of the year 1998, the warmest year of last 11 years. Our planet is changing by the warming winds and the rising seas. Down into the temperate zone, change is rearranging the boundaries of life. Animals and plants are adapting and moving and those who have no choice even going extinct.

The six billion humans are being affected, too. Coastal towns are ruined due to rising of sea levels, strong storms are taking away of many lives. In 2003 almost 35,000 people died due to European heat waves. This story really is a threat to mankind, wehave to go to Actions what we can do.
